I'm Ana — an editor and motion designer based in Paris, trained at 3is, one of France's leading film schools. I blend cinematic editing with bold motion graphics to create work that feels alive. From festival after-movies to brand identity animations, I obsess over every frame and transition.

In this 5th edition of the Solar Festival, the brand is starting from scratch. With illustrations by Ewen Fauquet, the graphic designer in charge of the rebranding, my goal was to create content in line with the new aesthetic, drawing inspiration from solar punk and a more DIY approach.
I therefore had the opportunity to create about ten short videos, sometimes with original stylized effects such as paper transitions and I became interested in the Depth map principle on After Effects in order to create more advanced 3D effects. Speaking of 3D, before the art direction was finalized, I did some composition tests in Blender.
Approach
From chaos to clarity
The visual I envisioned was an arch resting on a body of water, representing the Crès lake located next to the festival, in a solar punk and ethereal style. After showing my mock-ups to the graphic designer, the main visual for the Solar Festival ultimately adopted this composition, which was a great validation of my work and a rewarding experience.
I also created the motion design for the logo illustrated by Ewen Fauquet, which is featured before each network event. Go check out their website or their socials !
A collection of short films, editing exercises and creative projects produced during my training at 3is — one of France's leading film and audiovisual schools. Each project pushed me to grow as an editor and storyteller.

3is gave me the foundation to become the editor I am today. Through hands-on projects in directing, cinematography, editing and sound design, I learned to tell stories that connect — not just technically, but emotionally.
From fiction shorts to documentary exercises, every assignment was a chance to experiment with pacing, rhythm and visual language under the guidance of industry professionals.
What I Learned
From set to timeline
Working on set taught me how footage is born — framing, lighting, directing actors. That knowledge makes me a better editor because I understand what each shot was meant to achieve.
In the edit suite, I refined my instincts for cut timing, sound layering and colour grading. I learned to shape raw material into stories that breathe, using Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve as my daily tools.
The International Physics Olympiad brings together the world's brightest young physicists for a week of competition and exchange. The French Physical Society therefore hired me to assist with production tasks, including the aftermovie, as well as recording interviews with the candidates.
I followed participants from five countries across the full week — from arrival and practice sessions to the exam halls and the closing ceremony.
Approach
Intimate & epic
This experience was enriching, filled with encounters with brilliant young people from each country, brought together by science and progress. During the ceremonies, some Nobel laureates and ministers delivered powerful speeches and scientific lessons that inspired the candidates.
Through the real-life events, some candidates created a commitment and represented their country to such an extent that we were asked to interview specific candidates, and the speed of editing was key to stringing together the shoots.
